Preguntas frecuentes

Everything they usually ask us

Reunimos las dudas que aparecen una y otra vez cuando una empresa contrata tecnología. Si la tuya no está, escríbenos y la agregamos.

Before hiring

How much does a technology project cost?

It depends on the scope, and anyone who gives you a number without having seen anything is guessing. The honest approach is a diagnosis first: we review what you have and what you need, and only then we give a fixed price. That diagnosis costs you nothing.

Why does a budget vary so much between providers?

Because they're not always quoting the same thing. One includes custom design, testing and maintenance; another installs a purchased template and delivers. When you compare, check what each includes, who remains the owner of the code, and what happens after delivery.

How long does it take?

A corporate website, three to four weeks. An online store, between four and eight. A custom platform, two to four months. The part that usually takes the longest is not the technical side: it's agreeing on content and internal decisions.

Do I need to understand technology to work with you?

No. You bring the knowledge of your business, which is what we don't have. We explain everything in plain language and avoid acronyms unless they add value.

Do you work with companies of any size?

Yes, from startups to established companies. What we do is tell you when something isn’t right for you yet: it doesn’t make sense to sell you a hundred‑thousand‑dollar platform if your problem can be solved with a two‑week automated workflow.

Can I start with something small?

That’s what we recommend. A first scoped job lets you see how we work before committing to a large budget.

During the project

How we work

How do I know what’s going on?

You receive a progress update each week with what’s been done, what’s next, and any deviations. And we work in reviewable deliveries: you see something working periodically, not just at the end.

What happens if I want to change something halfway through the project?

It’s discussed. Small changes are accepted without debate; those that alter the scope are quoted separately and you decide whether they go in now or in a second stage. What we don’t do is accept them silently and then justify a delay.

Who owns the code and the access credentials?

Your company, from day one and in writing. Domain, hosting, repository and accounts are in your name. We never retain access as a payment guarantee.

What if your company disappears?

That’s why we deliver documented code in your own repository. Any

Do you need access to my systems?

To the essential minimum and with individual accounts, never sharing yours. When the work is finished those accounts are closed, and we notify you when they are closed.

Security and data

What most worries

Are my data safe with you?

We sign a confidentiality agreement before receiving any access, we use individual encrypted accounts, and we do not extract information from your infrastructure unless it is essential and you authorize it.

What happens if I get hacked?

The first step is to contain: close the attacker’s access and assess the scope. Then restore from a clean backup and fix the entry point. That’s why we stress having tested backups before anything happens.

Why does my site receive attacks if I’m a small company?

Because they’re not targeting you: they attack the whole internet with automated bots looking for open doors. It’s not personal, and that’s precisely why company size doesn’t protect you.

Is a security certificate enough?

No. The browser lock only encrypts the connection between the visitor and the server. It does not protect against weak passwords, outdated plugins, or misconfigured permissions, which is how almost everyone gets in.

How often should you update?

Security updates as soon as they’re released. The rest, at least once a month and always with a prior backup. A site not updated for six months is a site with the door ajar.

After delivery

What happens the next day

Is maintenance mandatory?

No, but we recommend it. Without maintenance the site keeps working, until an outdated plugin breaks it or someone exploits a known flaw. You can hire us or anyone you prefer: the important thing is that someone does it.

What does maintenance include?

Updates with prior backup, availability monitoring, security review, verified backups, and a buffer of hours for small changes. All with response times committed in writing.

Can I manage the site myself?

Yes, and we’ll train you for it. Changing text, images, and posts should be something you do without calling us. What should be left to technical hands are updates and structural changes.

What happens if I need something new in a year?

It’s quoted as a separate job. Since the system is documented, picking it up is quick and you don’t have to rediscover how it was built.
