Notes, checklists, folders, tags, and history are stored encrypted on the device. White Hat Mgmt LLC does not receive that content. A backup only leaves the device when the user chooses a location or shares it via the system interface. The other exception is voice dictation, if the user uses it: the audio is processed by the system’s voice recognizer, as explained below.

Advertising and consent

The app uses Google AdMob and its UMP consent platform. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostics, and technical data to display, limit, and measure ads, depending on the region and consent choices. Note content is never added to an ad request.

Voice dictation (optional)

Dictation is optional. The app requests microphone permission (and, on iPhone and iPad, voice recognition permission) only when the user taps the microphone to dictate; if dictation is not used, the permission is not requested. The voice‑to‑text conversion is performed by the system’s voice recognizer: on many Android phones it is Google’s, and on iPhone and iPad it is Apple’s. Depending on the phone’s settings and language, that recognizer may process the audio on Google’s or Apple’s servers, according to their own privacy policies. White Hat Mgmt LLC does not receive the audio, and the app does not record or store it: it only receives the recognized text and places it in the note.

Lock with PIN, fingerprint or face (optional)

If the user enables locking, the PIN is not stored as‑is: a derived fingerprint (PBKDF2) is stored in the system’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). Unlocking with fingerprint or face is verified by the operating system, which only tells the app whether it was correct; the app never receives or stores biometric data, and none of this leaves the device.

Purchases

Premium is an optional non‑consumable purchase that removes ads. Google Play or the App Store processes the payment and keeps its own record; White Hat Mgmt LLC does not see payment data. The store confirms the purchase to the app and it stores on the device only a flag that Premium is active. The app allows restoring the purchase from the respective store.

Error reports

If the user decides to send a report from the app, it is sent to White Hat Mgmt LLC’s reporting server: the message and the category they choose, the app version, the operating system and its version, and the phone’s language. It does not include notes. It is sent only when the user requests it.

Retention and control

Notes in the trash are deleted after 30 days or earlier via “Delete forever”. Uninstalling the app removes its local data according to the system. External backups are managed from the chosen location. Microphone and voice‑recognition permissions can be revoked at any time from the system settings.
