Expiricy Data Management

Expiricy Data Management

Effective date: September 24, 2026.

This notice explains, in plain language, what data Expiricy uses, why it uses it, where it is stored, and what controls the user has. It complements the privacy policy and the terms of use.

Data and Purpose

  • Confirmed records: name or document type, issuer, jurisdiction, dates and notes, solely to organize expirations and reminders.
  • Chosen image or PDF: processed on the device to propose text via OCR. The proposal is not saved as final until the user reviews and confirms it.
  • Proposal evidence: upon confirmation, the app may keep encrypted a small snippet, the original line, and the page that generated the field. It does not copy the full photo or PDF to the vault.
  • Local configuration: language, reminder preferences, and permission status needed to provide the requested feature.

Where they are processed and stored

OCR and the vault operate locally. Records and snippets are encrypted within the app’s private space. The described version has no account, advertising, analytics, own server, or general Internet permission on Android. Data remains until the user deletes the record, clears the app data, or uninstalls it.

Backups and third parties chosen by the user

A backup is created only by an explicit action. It is encrypted with a password that White Hat Mgmt LLC does not receive, does not know, and cannot recover. The system picker allows choosing the destination. If the user selects Drive, email, messaging, or another provider, that provider receives the already‑encrypted file and applies its own terms. The backup must also be deleted at that destination when it is no longer needed.

Permissions and control

  • The camera is requested only when choosing to take a photo.
  • The system picker grants access only to the selected file or destination.
  • Notifications are used for local alerts and do not display sensitive data on the lock screen.
  • The user can edit or delete their records directly in the app.

Cookies and tracking

Expiricy does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or tracking within the described application. The website you are reading may use site‑specific technologies; they are explained separately
